A couple of years ago, a friend recommended Stratos2 coaching to help a few of our managers work more effectively. I decided it was worth trying, so I met with Stratos2 and we agreed to a short term engagement for 3 promising managers. As I reflect over the twelve month journey of introducing coaching to my department, I have observed significant results. The journey began shortly after completing a department 360 degree review and an organizational health review based on the Patrick Lencioni framework from his book, The Advantage.

I was aware that some of my peers had recently started a coaching program at work and to me it seemed like something that might be able to help me pull myself out of this rut, if not anything else it might be an unbiased career-oriented ear to talk to.
My employer took note that I was interested in the coaching program and I was given the opportunity to at least have a few sessions to see if it could help me out. In my first meeting with Bryan I laid everything out on the table for him, my struggles at work, how it affected my home life, the things that gave me stress, and the things that I enjoyed.
Bryan was able to give me insight into what decisions and thought processes I had been inadvertently making every day, many times a day, that seemed to be driving the outcomes at work that I found myself unhappy with. He also highlighted on strong points in my personality and offered me guidance on how I can use positive attributes to steer my career path in the direction that I wanted it to go, the direction that I had previously convinced myself was impossible.
Bryan helped me set goals for myself both at work and outside of work and most importantly I felt I had a partner who was holding me accountable for realizing those goals. I realized there were new challenges ahead of me and those challenges contained opportunities that I had been completely blind to. I continued meeting with Bryan on a regular basis and together we reviewed my progress, he provided feedback to me, and we decided on next steps that I needed to take before we had our next meeting.
Before I knew it I was excited to go to work again, co-workers told me they noticed I seemed much happier, and most importantly I was finding new challenges for myself. For years before the coaching I had slowly closed myself into a mindset that I had achieved maximum potential and therefore had nothing else to look forward to.
Now I am working in a role that I had always admired and at one time thought wasn’t possible for me to move in to, and I know that my employer is getting more and better results out of me than they had been before. I wake up every day excited to see what I can accomplish, and I find myself thinking about new opportunities and connections that I can make that will not only drive my personal success, but also the success of the company. I have much more energy and enthusiasm and find that this re-discovered positive thinking has lead me to be more productive, feel and live healthier, and motivated me to discover new hobbies and enjoy thought provoking activities.
I will always be extremely grateful for having the opportunity to work with Bryan; I am convinced that I have turned my life around thanks to this coaching and the hard work that I put into producing results. Coaching with Stratos2 helped me recognize new opportunities all around me and I look forward to continuing this relationship and seeing what achievements lay ahead of me.

Having regular, scheduled time for coaching has been more useful than I initially expected.
